Emily WiselyMy name is Emily. The name of my site was inspired by a short story in my favorite book, The Martian Chronicles, by Ray Bradbury. The chapter (and overall theme of the book) depicts a future in which planet Earth has been completely run-down by humans, so the population relocates to Mars to begin a new life. The story doesn’t really have a plot; it only spans two pages. It’s more of a snapshot of humanity: How we can’t help ourselves from consuming, how we can be so dense. This blog isn’t supposed to be overly philosophical – but I suppose it’s my way of clinging on to my inspirations.

I’m a young professional living in the Tower Grove neighborhood of St. Louis and working for a digital marketing firm as a writer (for the most part). Besides my love for literature, I am also unswervingly fixated on music and my rescue dog, Vince.

I’m not sure where this site is going. It’s not really my desire to have an online diary. Things might start to get a little weird around here. Sorry if you are reading this right now.
