2012 has been revolutionary for me. Isn’t that a great kicker to a post? Well, seriously, 2012 has been remarkable so far – specifically in the music department. You know, for as much as I consider myself a “music snob,” my taste has been pretty rusty as of the past few years. Beween the high school days and  twenty-twelve, I’ve been slacking hardcore at listening to new releases. And you know why? It’s safer that way. There’s something wonderfully cozy about having a set-in-stone list of your favorite artists, mine of which have been Death Cab, Elliott Smith, Brand New, and Bright Eyes for the past 5 years or so. In all, there’s a list of 15-20 bands/artists that dominate my iTunes, my ear buds, and my car speakers. They’re all fantastic. They’re all familiar. They’re all safe. Read the rest of this entry »

I’m in Boston, MA for Link Love, a conference by Distilled that is dedicated to the intricate act of link building. I’m the sole Evolve representative, which is just as exciting as it is horrifying. Or at least it’s similar to my experiences with SEO.

I’m still fairly new at SEO, especially considering how long the Internet has been around. I have, however, definitely acquired some knowledge and experience – just enough to seep into my bones and start my slow transformation into a bit of a snob. It’s inevitable, and I truly apologize.

Unfortunately I am picky about a lot of things, mainly music and typography. Few people get nauseated upon overexposure to Comic Sans, or so it seems. I’m one of the few. I’ve also gotten to the point where I don’t usually talk about music except to those four people in my life whose tastes I seriously respect. Four. (And for the record, my music knowledge is pretty lame compared to theirs.)  Read the rest of this entry »

In my blog, I typically rant about movies, photography, literature, or anything that’s been on my mind. Lately, like for the past 9 months or so, Search Engine Optimization has been a lingering topic. Read the rest of this entry »
