I’m in Boston, MA for Link Love, a conference by Distilled that is dedicated to the intricate act of link building. I’m the sole Evolve representative, which is just as exciting as it is horrifying. So far Boston has been awesome. The weather is 45 degrees and a bit rainy, quite a change from St. Louis’s 82/sunny forecast. However, I happen to love chilly, rainy afternoons, especially when I’ve got Cults and Sleigh Bells blasting through my ear buds and my North Face keeping me toasty as I stroll through the streets. Lots of strolling, my favorite. By the way, this is def a quaint little area; got to eat dinner at a nice pub and watch the Celtics game.

The day started off rocky because I couldĀ not fall asleep last night. I kept waking up (had a nightmare that I was back in High School and eating lunch with the teachers, sick). So to make up for the lack of sleep, my idiot body over compensated and I slept through my alarm. Woke up at 7:40, which is like more than an hour later than my intended arrival at the airport. Anyway, I somehow pulled it together and managed to get through the gate by 8:30. Stress. Here I am 10 hours later in the hotel common area, spying on the SEO celebrities. Haha, just kidding. Just kidding, I’m 100% serious.

I happen to be facing a giant chess set, which reminds me of 2008 when I became extremely obsessed with the game, created an account at chess.com, and devoted at least 4 hours a day to battling various matches. I would generally have 10-12 games going on at once. And I would lose pretty much every one. #Embarrassing, but kind of awesome.

Tomorrow is going to be a whirlwind, so don’t expect any updates from this account, not like I have any consistent readers anyway. But I will be blogging like a banshee from the Evolve account, so make sure to check it out for some Em-town perspective. I’m so stoked to be experiencing this, and I am absolutely honored to be the face of Evolve. This is going to be sweet.

Thanks for reading.
